This Sunday IYC will be running the SECOND “Bart’s Bash” regatta, skipper meeting at ……….11am. OPEN TO EVERYONE !!!! Afterward, we can all join together for a very informal lunch (dish to pass) which we will all provide if everyone "chips" in! We will plan to set the food up on the tables in the lawn at the south pavilion. It is supposed to be a spectacular day, so please come and join the fun. Some ideas of things to bring include:
- Apples or other fruit
- Bagels (3-4 dozen needed depending on participation)
- Cream cheeses with spreaders or plastic knives
- Deli cheeses / meats
- Salads of any kind
- Bottled water; drinks of choice
- smoked salmon (no harm in being hopeful!)
- Cookies or brownies
- paper plates, napkins
These dish to pass events always have a mysterious way of working out really well! The race is for fun, and is quite informal. It will be a single race, probably around club buoys, with club starting line (between the mast on the point and the club buoy). The race is expected to last between 45-60 minutes. It is principally for club members, or those non-members from the Youth Program,. Its not a youth event alone - its for everyone from Opties to Wetas and beyond. Andrew “Bart” Simpson, was a gold medallist from 2008 Olympics, who sadly died when the team Artemis Americas Cup catamaran collapsed in San Francisco 2013. Feel free to just come and watch! Everyone is welcome.
