Thanks for your interest in membership at the Ithaca Yacht Club. IYC offers activities for all ages, nice facilities and unparalleled access to our beautiful Cayuga Lake. Our members each have a unique relationship with the Club. Most members do not have a boat in the marina; many simply enjoy relaxing by the waterfront, and unwinding in the natural beauty and peacefulness of the lake. Others enjoy swimming, small craft boating, youth activities, and quality time with family and friends picnicking on the grounds or relaxing at the pub and restaurant – just some of the many social activities to enjoy at IYC. Consider making the Ithaca Yacht Club your "cottage on the lake".

Location

IYC is located 3 miles north of Cass Park on the west shore of Cayuga Lake – just below the Glenwood Pines on Glenwood Road.

2011 New Member Incentive – 50% off dues – it’s a GREAT time to join IYC!

New (and re-joining) Members join in 2011 for 50% of membership dues (in any category). If you choose to join again in 2012 you’ll pay just 75% of dues, and 100% of 2013 dues if you continue as a member!

Former members are also eligible for the membership recruitment incentive. As long as you had at least one year of lapsed membership you can re-join in 2011 for just 50% of membership dues in any category!

You can also benefit from recruiting other new members! Members receives a 10% rebate on 2012 dues when any new or re-joining member they sponsor in 2011 pays their 2012 dues!

Unlike some other clubs, there are NO food and beverage minimums or history of special assessments. The Club’s initiation fee requirement (equal to one year’s senior membership) has again been waived in 2011 (see details below).

2011 Dues For New Members

Senior Family (SR): is for all family households where the eldest member is over 35 as of July 1st and includes grown children through age 24.   Full: $1292 ($1395.36 w/tax)   Now, just: 50%: $646 ($697.68 w/tax)

Single (S): is for an individual with no family members, defined as no spouse, partner or children.   Full: $775 ($837.21 w/tax)   Now, just 50%: $388 ($419.04w/tax)

Junior Family (JR): is for a single member or family whose oldest member is 35 or less on July 1st.   Full: $646 ($697.68 w/tax)   Now, just 50%: $323 ($348.84 w/tax)

Ithaca Yacht Club Membership Dues

The full Dues for 2011 Senior Membership are $1,395.36 (includes 8% tax) per year – the same as 2010 dues. Single dues are set at 60% of Senior dues. Junior dues are set at 50% of Senior dues. There is no food and beverage minimum nor any history of special assessments. An initiation fee equal to the annual senior dues is normally due upon membership, but the initiation fee requirement has been waived in 2011. This fee immediately establishes a member equity stake in the club, but that equity may now be earned through one of three options: 1) paid as a lump sum when joining, 2) paid in three annual payments of 40%, 40% and 20%, or 3) by being a member in good standing for 7 consecutive years. A member will not hold an equity stake in the Club until they have fulfilled one of these options, and any equity established is forfeited when membership lapses.
