Adult Sailing Private Lessons

Private lessons, for members only, are for a single student with a qualified Youth Sailing instructor. The cost is $60 for a one hour lesson or $200 for four hours. To request lessons send email to YouthSailing@IthacaYC.org. When the session(s) have been scheduled, use this page for payment.

and the Clubhouse on May 2nd.

Come help your fellow members get the place in

ship shape!

(We all have work to do at home,

but somehow this is way more fun & satisfying!)

We have plenty to do for all abilities:

Bring rakes and tarps to rake leaves

Bring a tiller to weed & fluff mulch in the playground

Bring gloves to pick up debris & sticks

Move boat racks to the shoreline

Trim seed pods & grasses in the gardens

and more!

Coffee & Refreshments will be provided

Grassanova is a four-piece bluegrass band known for bending the traditional rules of the genre. While rooted in classic bluegrass, they’re not afraid to jump the fence—reworking contemporary rock, folk, country, and blues and painting it all with a bluegrass brush. Their tagline says it best: “Something for someone and nothing for nobody!”
Grassanova features Edna Brown on vocals, Doug Henrie on upright bass, Paul Fairbanks on five-string banjo, and Dave Richman on his Martin guitar.

Annual Boat Parade

The Labor Day boat parade is an IYC tradition.

All members' boats from kayaks on up are welcome to participate.

Boats line up south of The Point. At 2:00 with flags flying,

they motor or sail past the Commodores on the Point.

Each boat is greeted with a salute from the club's brass cannon.

If you are not boating, join us on The Point to watch the boats go by.

Attention IYC Boaters!

The 2026 Season has come to the end,

so for the next 6 months hold on to the memories

we all made at IYC this season,

both on the point and on the water.

The Marina will be closing November 1st .

All boats still in the Marina after that date,

unless other arrangements are made,

will be charged Winter Storage at the rates on the website.

Boats will also need to be removed from the

shoreline racks at the same time.

The gates to the harbor will be locked on November 15th.

After that date please contact the Harbormaster for special times.

I hope you all have a great Winter and
