Charity Events at the Ithaca Yacht Club

The Ithaca Yacht Club has been host to dozens of charity events over the years, including Women Swimmin', Ithaca Chill Challenge, Pretty in Pink, and Camp PALS.  We are delighted to share our unique location with our neighbors to support charitable organizations such as Hospicare, Ithaca Community Recovery, and Breast Cancer Survivors.

Women Swimmin' for Hospice Care

The Women Swimmin' event is an unparalleled fundraiser.  Not only does it raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, but even more dramatically it brings the community together in a heartwarming event supported by dozens of local businesses, hundreds of swimmers, and thousands of donors.  Women Swimmin' is the largest fundraising event for Ithaca's own Hospicare which provides care to terminally ill patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

Polar Plunge for Ithaca Community Recovery

The Polar Plunge (Chill Challenge) is the first event of the season.  On January 1, whatever the weather, brave and foolish fund-raisers swim in the lake.  They raise money for Ithaca Community Recovery, a local organization that supports Ithaca's recovering community.

Cardboard Boat Race for Family and Children’s Service of Ithaca

The Cardboard Boat Race is a late season event to support Family and Children’s Service of Ithaca. Race participants get into their homemade boats and sail across the Ithaca Yacht Club harbor.
